Jennifer began playing the violin at the age of three. There was never uncertainty over what to study, and she went on to gain a First Class Honours Degree in music from Surrey University. At Surrey, she led the University Symphony Orchestra, performed Mozart's 'Sinfonia Concertante' (for violin and viola) and won the Robert Naylor Memorial Prize for the best final recital. Following this, Jennifer took up a place on the Postgraduate Diploma Course at Trinity College of Music, London, and subsequently the Postgraduate Advanced Diploma Course, for which she was awarded a scholarship. Whilst there, she reached the finals of the Vera Kantrovich Prize for solo string playing and led both Trinity College Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. Jennifer now works as a freelance player and teaches the violin in three schools, including the Royal Ballet School. In addition to classical work, Jennifer does an amount of pop session and TV work, and has played with artists such as David Gray, Gareth Gates and Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols).
