Everything You Need To Know

  • This will depend on the event schedule and the package agreed. Performances can usually be divided into sets with short breaks.

  • Yes, during warmer weather, provided there is full cover and shade to protect the musicians, instruments and equipment from rain, wind and direct sunlight. Suitable shelter could include a marquee, gazebo, sturdy parasols or a covered doorway; tree cover is not sufficient.

    If conditions are wet, windy or too cold, the musicians may need to perform indoors. The final decision will be made on the day, and a gazebo may sometimes be available for an additional charge.

  • The quartet needs enough space for four musicians, chairs and music stands, with safe access and suitable lighting.

  • The quartet can perform before, after or between formal parts of the event. Background music during speeches would not normally be recommended.

  • Yes. You can choose from the existing repertoire, and we can confirm whether additional arrangements can be sourced.

  • We play on acoustic instruments which are not amplified. We find that our sound carries well without being intrusive. Should you need us to be amplified, this will need to be organised with your venue/ sound technician and agreed with us in advance. No microphones can be attached to our instruments so standalone mics would be needed. Please discuss with us.
